The Headliners
The Headliners tasks players with stepping into collapsing environments armed only with a camera and a press badge. Set in a version of New York overtaken by unknown threats, the objective is to gather undeniable proof of what’s happening on the ground. Each mission starts with limited resources and a clear purpose: enter, document, and exit. Players explore shattered blocks, vacant stations, and darkened rooftops while listening for the movement of creatures nearby. These areas shift with every run, offering different risks and chances to catch something no one else has seen.
Every Frame Carries Weight
Whether working alone or in a group, every decision affects what can be captured. Players must balance silence with speed, choosing when to set up a shot and when to move. Some images may show aftermath, others raw events in progress. The closer you get, the higher the reward—but also the danger. The more dramatic the photo, the more likely it is to be featured later, which determines your ability to continue. Failing to bring back footage means burning through your press passes without results, and without those passes, the story ends. The Front Page as a Measure of Survival
Success in The Headliners isn’t based on elimination or escape, but on what’s documented and how it’s interpreted. After each outing, your captured images are reviewed for relevance, clarity, and impact. If they’re deemed strong enough for publication, you're given another chance to go back out. If not, you lose access. There are no extra lives or resets—your progression depends on what you show. Every shot taken under pressure becomes part of the larger story. The more compelling your work, the longer you’ll be allowed to keep telling it.
